Rediscovering CP Shades

I don’t know about you but I was crazy about CP Shades in the 90’s.

My girlfriend Amy managed their store in Boulder where I went to college and I remember raiding her closet for their much loved loose fitting silk and washed velvet pants and vests. We were all smitten and knew that Amy had the coolest job on the planet. Time went by and I lost touch with the brand, styles changed and I found other designers that tickled my fancy.

Fast forward life twenty years, we have our new store and I am looking for special pieces to share with our new friends that pop in regularly in search of something unique.

Mystery Photo

I took this photo with a very different vision in mind but the photo came out like the strokes of an impressionistic painting…..

Can anyone guess what and where this is?

I will be very impressed if anyone gets this one…..it’s a tough one but there is a little goodie in it for the first person that solves the mystery. :)

Sneak Peek: Fall 2011 Campaign

We had a playful day at our design studio on Friday shooting our fall campaign with lovely model Amanda and an amazing team including fab photographer, Stephanie Rausser.

It was all about the jewels as we mixed to the max slinky long strands of mixed metals and pyrite, armfuls of multi colored bangles and big bold statement rings to match…..

Here are a few quick snaps from the shoot–more to come.

Intelligentsia

One of my favorite rituals when I visit Venice Beach is an Americano from Intelligentsia Coffee on Abbot Kinney.

It is the perfect way to start my day,

Only in La would I consider waiting 30 minutes for a cup of coffee!

I am down in LA shopping for our new store, The Robindira Unsworth Boutique…opening soon.

Here are a few pics of my morning ritual.

A line worth waiting in…
