Our New Storefront

This has been a whirlwind of a month…..we have just moved our wholesale operations into a beautiful new space and are also expanding our retail presence with a storefront.

The new space has majestic high ceilings and wonderfully earthen wood floors. It will be the perfect backdrop to showcase our jewelry as well as a selection of my favorite designers.

Here is a sneak peek at our retail space under construction…stay tuned!

Treasures

Robbie, India and I took a trip the local salvage yard to seek out vintage wood and not surprisingly found it was full of other treasures……

An Egyptian pyramid made of re-purposed railroad ties……who would have thought to make this?

The most stunning stained glass with a peep hole to heaven……it looks like a collection of rare jewels to me.

Winding Down In New York

What a whirlwind of a trip….three days of back to back meetings and design…one last perch on the fabulous couch at my hotel before I head back to California.

This couch would look amazing in my studio but much to my chagrin it won’t fit into my carry on.

My Culinary Obsession–The Caesar

Those of you who know me well (you know who you are dear friends) know of my eclectic culinary obsessions…and one of them happens to be the Caesar salad.

A Caesar salad may seem like an odd thing for me to blog about, but I am truly obsessed with finding the perfect Caesar–and not to mention inspired when I find it. And whenever I visit NYC I have to visit Il Buco in the Village to enjoy what I feel is the very best Caesar salad ever.

Imagine a mound of tender black kale tossed with a freshly made dressing that has the perfect balance of lemon, anchovy and garlic, topped with a generous helping of crunchy croutons and freshly shaved Parmesan…add a chilled glass of chardonnay or white burgundy and I am in heaven.

I had to skip this indulgence last year when I was pregnant but tonight my Caesar and I were reunited……

Let me say the flash does not BEGIN to do this salad justice (and call me a geek for sharing a photo of a salad with you)—but please go to Il Buco if you love a Caesar as much as I do…..you will thank yourself and return like a devoted homing pigeon!

Perhaps we can enjoy Caesar salad in NYC together one day….I am always game!

Spring Is On The Way

A day in the Napa Valley is always a little slice of heaven but I have to say I am especially fond of a Sunday drive amongst the first blossoms of vibrant wild mustard, a sure sign that spring is on it’s way……

I sweet talked Robbie into pulling over on the side of the road so that I could take this photo for you…..
