I have just returned from the gem shows in Tucson and I am fueled with new inspiration to begin the process of designing our fall collection…

Moonlight shining on a beautiful Tarpon fish in the warm Pacific Ocean is what I think of when I see our new charcoal drusy quartz pendants paired with our opalescent freshwater pearl necklaces.
My dad and I went scuba diving with a school of Tarpon when we vacationing in Fiji and I remember being absolutely memorized by the fluidity of the Tarpon’s movements and the silvery beauty of their scales.
Inspired by the ocean, this new collection has a wonderfully chic organic quality and features 4 special drusy quartz colors that we had specially made for us to perfectly pair with the opalescence of the freshwater pearls in this collection.

Nothing like a business in the fashion industry to keep your head in the future…
The good thing about design time is it like a little cocoon where I can slow down for a brief period to dream and play. This is hard to do in day-to-day life, so I am grateful for this time each season.

When I wrote this post on Sunday afternoon, I was taking a quick break from finalizing the design of my latest collection and frantically getting ready for my trip this week to the Northwest. The weather this weekend was gorgeous and sunny–and our ancient wisteria was in full bloom–the air was literally filled with the scent of the flowers and the sound of buzzing bees. Talk about the perfect backdrop to inspire new designs…
