Friday was Robbie’s birthday and he rode out to Marshall (and I drove) and we visited our friends Laurie and Terry of Hog Island Oyster Co. and shared the most amazing day overlooking beautifully rustic Tamales Bay. We feasted on delicious oysters, charcuterie, Cowgirl Creamery cheeses, artisanal breads and local wines..
We were treated to a tour and a rainbow of veggies in the on site gardens. Laurie gifted us with the most fabulous fava beans that Robbie then magically turned into a delicious puree that night with garlic, olive oil and Parmesan on Della Fattoria toasted semolina bread…a heavenly end to a perfect day.
