Be The Master Of Reinvention…

Someone recently told me that the life of a fashion jewelry designer would make great reality television and I scrunched my nose at them…..tonight I am re-thinking that as today’s episode would feature the jewelry designer recoiling in horror when she discovers that her most prized custom cut stones that took over six months to procure were stolen in transit overseas.

Gasp is right.

It would be an interesting episode as I work at my studio into the wee hours, candle burning at both ends, designing gorgeous new pieces to replace those stones that were lost. It’s a good thing that great inspiration has always traveled with me in the midst of chaos, so all is well….. if not even better in the end…ask me in twenty four hours.

I think the takeaway from all of this is that we all need to be the master of our own reinvention, whatever that means in each of our unique lives….that doesn’t sound like reality tv to me, thank goodness!

Sleep tight all….Sweet Dreams,

Autumn Is Here

As I was walking into work today I was stopped in my tracks by the beauty of these gorgeous fire red autumnal leaves juxtaposed against the bright blue sky…..

Mother Nature continues to amaze!

El Dia De Los Muertos

Yesterday we lit a beautiful array of candles on our El Dia de los Muertas altar that I created to honor those we have loved that have passed before us.

You could see the glow of candle light all the way down the main street of downtown Petaluma….it was magical…

The creation of this altar was especially poignant as it was inspired by our dear friend, David Yearsley who had just passed away. David was passionate about the outdoors and most especially about his Petaluma River that he worked tirelessly to protect and save.

We stand guard over your river, David.

Love,

Robindira
