Rediscovering CP Shades

I don’t know about you but I was crazy about CP Shades in the 90’s.

My girlfriend Amy managed their store in Boulder where I went to college and I remember raiding her closet for their much loved loose fitting silk and washed velvet pants and vests. We were all smitten and knew that Amy had the coolest job on the planet. Time went by and I lost touch with the brand, styles changed and I found other designers that tickled my fancy.

Fast forward life twenty years, we have our new store and I am looking for special pieces to share with our new friends that pop in regularly in search of something unique.

Low and behold last week I rediscovered CP Shades….they have reinvented themselves in such a casual luxurious way. Think of chic washed linen separates and amazing shawls with beautiful Indian block printed fabrics…in soft muted tones and vibrant pops of color. I am newly smitten and you will be too as soon as you see these pieces……!

I went to visit their headquarters on the bay in Sausalito this morning to hand pick some fabulous pieces to have on hand for our party and I took a bunch of snaps of their production house…..so inspiring to see where these luscious pieces are born…..

The sewing room floor…Robbie loves places like this–so organized..

More fabulous shawls
