A day in the Napa Valley is always a little slice of heaven but I have to say I am especially fond of a Sunday drive amongst the first blossoms of vibrant wild mustard, a sure sign that spring is on it’s way……

Monique at our design studio took this stunning photo last weekend while on a hike in Mendocino with her boyfriend.

Be it Mother Nature or a human creation, it made my day.

A relaxing day was had by all this Sunday in North Beach, one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Francisco.

We introduced our daughter India to the cool Italian vibe and the eateries on Columbus Ave , truly the best people watching spots in San Francisco.

We met up with some of my girlfriends and feasted on delicious feather light homemade pasta and yummy wine and martinis. Afterwards, we meandered through the narrow streets stopping in for an espresso at Robbie’s favorite cafe, Caffe Trieste and wandered up Grant Street discovering for the first time Al’s Attire, a unique outpost for custom tailoring and gorgeous hand made men’s shoes. I fell in love with the most beautiful pair of dove grey wing tips for Robbie….I may need to treat him!

As we headed back to the car I drooled over the beautiful stained glass windows at The National Shrine of St Francis of Assisi…..a little future inspiration perhaps….
