Forever Young
This is a tribute to my amazing father, Rob Nilsson, who turned 70 this week…
If you knew my dad you would shake your head in disbelief that he could possibly be 70, because he is the most youthful, vital, passionately creative and productive artist that could ever be.
I know you are probably thinking that I am biased….. but my father has made over 30 feature films in the last 30 years, has won awards at Cannes and Sundance, and has been honored by numerous film festivals around the world for his ground breaking films—all while continuing to paint, write poetry, screenplays, and even play music from time to time.
He is prolific in his work and tireless when it comes to making it happen in the face of any adversity placed before him.
NO is just not an answer that he will ever take or accept.
He has always told me that he allows 15 minutes of despair on any given day and after that you have to move on.. “Your path is towards your fear” has always been his mantra to me and I try my very hardest to live by these rules. Whenever I feel a moment of doubt or self pity I remember those words and I have no choice but to get up and forge forward….because he ALWAYS does.

With Fahr in Mexico last year
My dad not only inspires me to be the best that I can be but he is also always there for me…..to support, encourage and champion me in every way….and when I am not at my best he supports and encourages me to rise up!
I just wanted to take a moment to say Happy Birthday Dear Fahr.
I raise a glass and Thank you for inspiring us all!
Love, Robindira
