Moonlight shining on a beautiful Tarpon fish in the warm Pacific Ocean is what I think of when I see our new charcoal drusy quartz pendants paired with our opalescent freshwater pearl necklaces.

My dad and I went scuba diving with a  school of Tarpon when we vacationing in Fiji and I remember being absolutely memorized by the fluidity of the Tarpon’s movements and the silvery beauty of their scales.

Inspired by the ocean, this new collection has a wonderfully chic organic quality and features 4 special drusy quartz colors that we had specially made for us to perfectly pair with the opalescence of the freshwater pearls in this collection.

I just have to take a minute to honor the three amazing young women who interned for us this summer and who are spreading their wings to fly off to their next adventure.

Lucky doesn’t begin to describe how we feel at our studio to have had the opportunity to meet and work with Hayley, Aliza and Kellyn.  Each of these three young women are going places…..full of enthusiasm, creativity, intelligence and a level of commitment and care that is rare to find.

Lovely ladies…you always have a home away from home here.  Thank you for gracing us with your talents and for working so hard with us this summer—we miss you already!

It’s the little things that count….

I am on a design deadline now and so I’m feeling a little anxious–but I decided to take a thirty minute break from the computer to water the garden and a do wee bit of much needed rose pruning.

As I was loading up our green bin with clippings I noticed JLo sitting on a branch above my head and squawking. 

If you haven’t already guessed, JLo is a blue jay.

I am sitting down to work on our new line…..I can’t believe that it is July and that it is almost time to get ready for the holiday season!

Nothing like a business in the fashion industry to keep your head in the future…

The good thing about design time is it like a little cocoon where I can slow down for a brief  period  to dream and play.  This is hard to do in day-to-day life, so I am grateful for this time each season.
