Dreaming of Turkish Delight
This weekend, Robbie finalized the reservations for our trip to Turkey in May–and I am now dreaming of adventures just on the horizon…!
I am imagining days spent wandering through the bazaars of Istanbul and taking in all of the vivid colors and textures while nibbling on various Turkish delights…
We will be starting our journey in Istanbul and venturing out from there, traveling along the Bosphorus, (the strait of sea which connects the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara and separates Asia from Europe) as well as exploring the architectural wonders of the Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet (the blue mosque) and Topkapi Palace.
I am so excited to experience such a richly historic part of the world. Trips like this always seem to have a life changing effect.
The last part of our trip will take us to Aegean seaside regions of Ephesus and Bodrum. Roaming on the beach, reading, writing and dreaming…there is nothing like an exotic get away to a far-away place to rejuvenate and inspire.
Here are a few inspiring images of the sights that await us:
Sublime Sunset-Istanbul

The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul–one of the largest covered markets in the world…so many treasures!

The Blue Mosque–Wow.

More to come….
